From Broadway to LA to Saturday Night Live, there are few stages that comedian and actor Joe Piscopo has not performed on, and now he will take up residence in Atlantic City. The new Resorts Casino Hotel and Joe Piscopo announced he will open Club Piscopo on June 30th in time for 4th of July weekend.

Gomes, owner, president and C.E.O. of Resorts Casino Hotel. “It is no wonder he is loved throughout New Jersey and the country, his dynamic stage performances to his charitable work, Joe is a class act and we are elated to partner with him on this venture. Club Piscopo is destined to be a success and will provide Resorts guests with entertainment they can’t get anywhere else in the region.”
“I have performed and visited Atlantic City numerous times over the years and always wanted to open a place of my own, particularly with Dennis Gomes,” said Joe Piscopo. “New Jersey is my home and Atlantic City my backyard, I love performing for AC audiences and now I can do that weekly at Resorts. It’s an added bonus to be working with Dennis as he transforms Resorts and the City with style and a spirit that no one else has yet to do. This club will continue that trend by offering great comedy, bands, and acts that no one in Atlantic City has yet to put together in a show. I have known Dennis for many years and this partnership is one we have talked about creating and are excited to bring to fruition.”
Club Piscopo will feature a variety of acts, comedians and bands that will entertain audiences Thursday through Sunday. The format will include regular appearances by Joe Piscopo and other well-known entertainers, including jazz artists, musicians and up-and-coming comedians. Entertainment will be provided prior to and immediately after the show for guests relaxation and enjoyment.
Known for his hilarious Saturday Night Live skits and roles in feature films like Wise Guys and Johnny Dangerously, Piscopo is an American comedy icon. Whether he is starring on Broadway, doing his best Frank Sinatra (Sinatra himself even endorsed him as the Vice-Chairman of the Board) or on a movie/TV set, Piscopo always brings his A-game and that often leaves onlookers rolling in the aisles. Piscopo has a strong history of charitable work and was honored with the Volunteer of the Year award from Big Brothers Big Sisters, received community service awards from the Boys and Girls Club and was recognized by the Boy’s Town of Italy in Rome. Additionally, he has started his own non-profit organization, The Positive Impact Foundation, which creates positive media for at-risk youth, including the syndicated television show for teens, Positive Image TV.
