Sunset In Cherry Grove Fire IslandWe have made our plans for our off season trip to Dune Point in Fire Island. We will be arriving there September 14th, and we are planning to do tons of barbecuing as well as partying at Cherry's On The Bay. September is our favorite month on Fire Island, we just love it. Days are hot and sunny and the nights are cool and cozy. Most of the tourists have left and this is the time where you can meet and talk to some of the islanders. The stories I hear from long time residents are fascinating. This weekend they have the Miss Fire Island contest and next week the magical Christmas Party.

Cherry Grove Fire IslandImagine sitting at Cherry's On The Bay, watching the sunset, listening to Christmas music with your friends and just looking out at the water. The club is decorated with lights and of course a Christmas tree and every year Santa shows up to party.
