We caught up with Southampton Village Mayor Mark Epley and his lovely wife Marianne at the Southampton Historical Museum’s Late Summer Party this weekend and learned that Hizzoner had recently performed his first same sex couple marriage. Epley officiated at the Dune Beach wedding of fashion designer and Project Runway judge Michael Kors to longtime partner Lance LePere.
Kors and LePere met in 1990 when the latter worked as an intern at Kors’ design atelier On how they fell in love, LePere told New York magazine some time ago, "We share a certain level of taste, an American point of view, and I think we like to play with Americana. Over the years and the day-to-day process of dreaming together, things just naturally fell into place”. Kors was positively glowing and said "To marry someone as wonderful and special to me as Lance, barefoot on a glorious beach is more than I could have dreamed of”. Marianne Epley told us that following the ceremony the couple dashed over to the Michael Kors boutique on Southampton’s Main Street to share the news with their friends.

Patricia KennedyStep Up 4 Vets Founder Patricia Kennedy Special Guest at WTC Memorial
Philanthropist Patricia Kennedy founder and president of Step Up 4 Vets, which connects injured veterans and their families with the healing power of the performing and visual arts was among the special guests throughout the ceremonies around the dedication of the World Trade Center Memorial. Ms. Kennedy who created the Peace One Earth Medallion to honor all who stand up for peace was the guest of Col Patrick Mahaney, Sgt Major Brendan O’Connor and Meg O’Connor and Eve Bucca, the widow of fire marshal Ron Bucca who perished on 9/11. Ms. Kennedy presented the Peace One Earth Medallion to Ms. Bucca in honor of her late husband in 2009.

Billy Joel Katie Lee Once Again a Full Time Hamptonite
Katie Lee is once again a Hamptonite. Some years ago when she was wed to Billy Joel, the Pianoman bought Roy Scheider’s ocean front Sagaponack estate for a very tidy sum. But as we know the marriage went kaput and Katie moved to New York City. Now the popular chef and author has sold her Greenwich Village townhouse and will reside full-time in the 6,700-square-foot Water Mill mansion she bought for $3.5 million following her split from ex-husband Joel.

The gang at Bobby Van’s the popular celebrity watering hole in Bridgehampton will soon be missing one of its regulars now that Kelsey Grammer will be heading to Chicago to shoot the new Starz Channel drama series “Boss”. He’ll play the all powerful mayor of Chicago. The show was brokered by uber Hollywood agent Ari Emanuel who just happens to be the brother of Rahm Emanuel former Obama right hand now Mayor of Chicago. Production is slated to start soon.
