Alicia Keys, Jon Bon Jovi, Ben E. King & Betty LaVette Rock The Creeks

Billionaire cosmetics mogul Ron Perelman opened the gates of his 57 acre estate “The Creeks” overlooking Georgica Pond for an extraordinary evening of music “Apollo in the Hamptons” featuring an insane musical line up that included Alicia Keys, Jon Bon Jovi and Apollo legends Ben E. King and Bettye LaVette. The evening benefited the world renowned Apollo Theater which launched the careers of scores of superstars over the decades.

Pre-show guests indulged in fried chicken and sliders served up by famed chef Marcus Samuelsson, inside the estate's barn theater. (The floor of Perelman's barn is painted by Jackson Pollock). Seen munching happily away were Carey Lowell & Richard Gere, Jimmy Buffett, Jon Bon Jovi, Dick Laura Parsons, Penny Marshall, George Stephanopoulos Ali Wentworth, Pete Peterson & Joan Ganz Cooney, Pharrell Williams, Matt Lauer, General Colin Powell, director Brett Ratner, moguls Ron Meyer and Terry Semel, Ira & Inga Rennert, Google’s Eric Schmidt, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly and many more.

After dinner Perelman and his co-chair, Citigroup Chairman Dick Parsons invited Jimmy Buffett onstage to serenade Perelman's father with probably the loudest version of "Happy Birthday" Mr. Perelman has ever had, especially since it was for his 94th birthday. From there the show took off as Ben E. King first took the stage. Bettye Lavette followed with "Let Me Down Easy" and Jon Bon Jovi joined the super soul-singer for a duet. The crowd really began to move as Jamie Foxx took the mic singing the pop-hit "Gold Digger" and Alicia Keys blew the crowd away with the appropriate tribute "Empire State of Mind." The grand finale featured all performers sharing the stage for a rendition of "Stand By Me."

Brooke and Daniel Neidich threw their annual Hamptons Hoedown at their East Hampton estate over the weekend, where an eclectic crowd that included Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen, Lauren & Andres Santo Domingo and Oscar winning Anjelica Huston were spotted among the sea of plaid shirts & jeans bedecked guests. Reportedly Anjelica Huston “tore up the dance floor” following in the tradition of Bill & Hillary Clinton at a previous Hoedown.

The cowboys & cowgirls played beer pong, dined and danced under a tent decorated with red, white and blue lanterns. Barbecue pit-master Rich Chinitz served up Carolina pulled pork barbecue, ribs, smoked sausages and fried chicken.

Crocodile Rockin’ at Posh Southampton Estate

Hard to believe that a major do like the bash Apollo Management mogul Leon Black tossed for his 60th birthday could have flown so under the radar but it did til now. Mr. Black transformed his oceanfront Southampton into a faux nightclub constructing a wooden deck over his swimming pool and building a tent for Mr. for a very special concert. – by none other than Sir Elton John. Wall Streeters like Lloyd Blankfein, Julian Robertson, Michael Milken and Steven Schwarzman got on their party mode as did Mayor Mike Bloomberg, Senator Chuck Schumer, Rudy Giuliani and reportedly Vice President Joe Biden. Also tapping their feet were Martha Stewart and Howard Stern.

A buffet dinner was served with crab cakes and steak on the menu. It even included a seared foie gras food station. Then Sir Elton gave an hour-and-a-half performance for a rumored $1.5 million ending the show with "Crocodile Rock."
