Finally he got what he deserved..I wish that US won't deport him..He should spend rest of his life in Federal Prison only.If he goes back to india(AP)..he will open one more company and do the same things.His uncle is famous telugu actor and was a member of parliament also..so he will get all the help he needs.I pray to god that he should be in US federal Prision for rest of his life...

Here is what I want to understand.
EB2 ROW is CURRENT except INDIA AND CHINA. EB2 ROW will get 28.6% of 140000.
This means 40040. How they are going to divide these visa between INDIA and CHINA?

Is there certain minimum numbers of days one has to stay with the sponsoring company after getting the Green Card.
In my case I have been working with my current employer since Sept-2001 (almost 7 years).
Green card labor started in Dec-2001 and I-485 was filed in May and approved June, 2008.
I was in the middle of using AC21 just before my GC got approved, hence this urgency.

If you had thought for a moment and seen that my previous posts got posted twice - you would have realized something amiss, or if you saw my last post you would have realized that it was not edited to remove anything! However, to you everything seems to be "out to get you" mode, and you talk of not attacking personally, and yet here you are!

I think the 40,000 number is the wastage predicted by the ombudsman at the prior rate of approval that was prevalent earlier in the year. This probably implies that CIS would have used about 100,000 numbers at it's prior rate or about 25000 per quarter. This in turn would imply that CIS would have roughly 40000 (predicted wastage) + 25000 (last quarter's numbers that might have been used had CIS continued at it's earlier pace) = approx 65000 available starting June 1. I highly doubt if this could be used in just a month or two.
But all said and done, whatever the real number of visas that's available I feel it's in everybody's best interest to just apply at the earliest they possibly could.
Can somebody please provide some information interms of country quota? This 40000 can be used for any country? Or if India and China used their quota and still visa's left, next visa bulletin may show retrogession for India and China and current for other countries?

hey anyone know why since democrats have taken control of house, senate, they havent uttered a word on immigration? last year there was so much noise on tv regarding immigration but none at all this year. i wonder what is going on.
Democratic Majority leader in senate has intruduced the bill S.9 and referred it to the Senate Judiciary commitee.... Immigration is a hot potato... Nobody want to pick it up directly...You are not gonna hear anyone speak about it loudly except the numbersUSA folks....That is the way it is...Wait a few weeks and the 'immigration bhangada(dance)' would start....

No more small consulting firms sending resumes to direct vendors. May be in long term its good for H1Bs.
Mostly Desi consulting firms will get hit. Outsourcing companies like TCS,Infosys are direct vendors to big clients. They will OK ..
Not just desi consulting co's who makes money just by passing on resumes with a status of 'preferred vendor' / 'partner' etc; but also just look what the big names like Tek systems, Kforce, MOdisIT etc are doing ? they also should be brought to justice in this shameless game of layering / commission based on business . just do not blame only desi co's
needless to say worst business practices of big 5 from india and i'm not supporting them in any manner, but my point is these american blood sucking layers also should be gone.

I want to know what your confidence level is on those stats, may be you feel on the inside that this is theory and God only knows wht will happen. Since the processes that USCIS & DOL follow is not very clear to anyone, I am curious.

Let H1B and L1 become unlimited. Anyone with right skills should be allowed to come and work in USA and earn. Even if it means salary of US programmers go down to $1 an hour or less.
Likewise allow all US citizens to come to India and apply for jobs. Let them compete with Indians in India. Let them live on $1/hr.
America should lead the wold by example and make this change in the policy and show the world that it cares for Democracy and equality.
This will make a level playing field for everyone and true globalization. What do you say Senthil1?

I also have my canadian PR. I know that I have to physically stay in CA for 2 years out of 5 to keep it alive. My question is if I enter just before my fourth year and live only for one year in CA .... what would happen ? At the end of fifth year when my PR card expires, will I have to leave CA ? Or is there any other visa on which I can move to or is there a way to re-apply for PR in the last year itself ?
