Two per cent of Americans think Pippa Middleton is a porn star, according to a new survey for Vanity Fair magazine. The survey, also commissioned by the US news show 60 minutes, asked 1,045 US adults the simple question: ‘Who is Pippa Middleton?’
Perhaps given the worldwide attention her bottom has received since the royal wedding in April and the fact she was offered $5million to appear in a porn film after threatening to steal the show on her sister Kate’s big day, a number of those surveyed said they thought the 27-year-old was a ‘adult film star’.
Put in perspective though, 52 per cent of those polled didn’t actually have a clue who Pippa was, while six per cent thought she was a CNBC news correspondent, six per cent believed her to be a character in a children’s book and two per cent seemed sure she was a fashion designer.
All the recent attention Pippa has received didn’t go completely unnoticed in the US as 32 per cent of survey group correctly recognised her as a ‘British socialite’.
