After not too many hits headlined their careers several years back, they’ve to be cheerful now, because this year they already have a blockbuster title to be proud of, “Fast & Furious.” The universal Pictures' fourth hot-rodding film had marked the best opening weekend of any movie this year, making an estimated $72.5 million and speeding to the top of the North American box office. It left its competition in the dust and easily topping last weekend's $59.3 million debut for "Monsters vs. Aliens."
